Deleting your RoundUp account

Where the button is, what the request covers, what has to be kept, and what to sort out with your center first.

For parents and guardians

Before you start

  • If your child still attends, talk to your center first. Deleting your account doesn't withdraw your child or stop tuition — enrollment and billing are arranged with the center.
  • If another parent or guardian has their own account for your child, tell your center before you submit. The request covers your children's records on your account, so ask how it affects what the other guardian can still see.
  • If you want a copy of your child's photos and records, request it first — see Getting a copy. Deletion can't be undone.
  • If there's a balance on your account, settle it or agree a plan with your center. Billing records are kept either way.

Requesting deletion

  1. Open Settings Go to More and tap Settings. It opens on the Account tab.
  2. Find Danger Zone Scroll down to Danger Zone and tap Delete My Account.
  3. Confirm The first message explains that deletion is permanent. Tap Delete My Account to go on.
  4. Review and submit The second message, What will be deleted, lists what the request covers and what's kept. Tap Submit deletion request.

You'll see Deletion request submitted with the date it will be processed by, and the reassurance that matters most: Your account stays active until then. Keep using the app for messages and pickups in the meantime.

What the request covers

As the app lists it, the request is to permanently delete:

  • your account profile and login;
  • your children's profiles and care records on your account;
  • daily reports, observations and photos uploaded for your children;
  • messages between you and center staff;
  • your saved cards, removed from our payment processor so nothing can be charged;
  • notification preferences and app settings.

You don't also need Request deletion of specific data on My child's data. It sends the same request.

What's kept

  • Financial records — invoices and payment history, kept as tax law requires, which the app puts at typically 7 years.
  • Attendance and other licensing records — kept at least 3 years, and as long as your state's law requires.

Your center can tell you which of its records fall under its state's rules.

What happens next

A deletion request is reviewed rather than carried out on the spot, because some of what's on your account belongs to records your center has to keep. It goes to RoundUp's privacy team, who work through it with your center. Any follow-up comes by email, to the address on your account.

Changed your mind? Email privacy@roundupece.com from the address on your account as soon as you can, and say when you submitted the request.

If you can't use the app

If you've already removed the app or can't sign in, email privacy@roundupece.com from the email address on your RoundUp account and ask for your account to be deleted. Name your child's center so the request reaches the right place.

Signing out, or deleting the app from your phone, doesn't delete your account.

Still stuck?

Your center's director can see your family's account and can fix most things fastest. If the app itself is misbehaving, that one's ours.
