Announcements from the center
Closures, events and notices — where they appear and how not to miss the ones that matter.
What they're used for
Announcements go to every family at the center: closures and weather days, holiday hours, events and picture days, policy changes, and the occasional reminder about hats.
They're one-to-many, so an announcement is never about your child specifically. Anything about your child comes through your family's messages or the daily report.
Where they appear
Go to More and tap Announcements, or open the Messages tab and switch to Announcements at the top. Older ones stay listed unless your center removes them, so a date you half-remember from three weeks ago is still there.
When a new one is posted, an entry headed New announcement is added to Notifications in More, as long as Announcements is switched on in Settings.
If you don't see Messages or Announcements, your center may not use in-app messaging.
Not missing them
Leave the Announcements switch on even if you turn other things off, and open the app when an entry appears. See Turning notifications on or off.
When your center adds a closure date to its hours, RoundUp emails families about it too, and for a genuine emergency your center may well phone as well. Hearing about the same thing twice is the system working rather than a mistake.
Replying
Announcements don't take replies — a hundred families answering "thanks" would help nobody. If you have a question about one, message the center from the Messages tab.
