Following potty training

What the room records, what the numbers mean, and keeping home and the classroom in step.

For parents and guardians

Where to find it

Go to More and tap Potty Training. It opens on the Potty tab. If you have more than one child at the center, pick the child under Child first.

If you don't see Potty Training in More, your center may have care logs turned off.

Everything here is recorded by your child's teachers. You can see it but not add to it, so tell the room about how things are going at home rather than looking for a button.

The phase

At the top is where your child is in training, as your center has set it:

  • Not started
  • Introducing
  • Active training
  • Mostly trained
  • Trained

Moving a child between phases is a director's call in the app. If you think your child is ready to move on, or needs to step back, raise it with the room — that conversation matters more than the label.

What the numbers mean

  • Success rate — of the times your child tried, how often they used the toilet. A try is a use of the toilet, an accident, or sitting on the potty without a result. Dry checks, and wet or bowel movement entries, don't count either way.
  • Successes — each time your child used the toilet.
  • Accidents — each accident recorded.
  • Day streak — days in a row with at least one success and no accidents, counting back from the most recent day anything was logged.

The totals cover everything logged for your child, not only this week. Early on, one hard day moves the rate a lot; after a few weeks it settles. Watch which way it's heading rather than the number on any one afternoon.

A streak also ends on any day without a logged success — including days your child wasn't in. A reset after a long weekend is arithmetic, not a step backwards.

Today's log

Today's log lists what teachers recorded today, each with its time: Used toilet (pee), Used toilet (BM), Dry check, Wet, Accident and so on. Before anything is logged it says No events today. Pull down to refresh.

Keeping home and the classroom in step

Potty training goes faster when both places do the same thing. Tell your child's teachers what you're doing at home — the words you use, whether you're using pull-ups, how often you prompt — and ask what they're seeing. A message to the room works; so do two minutes at pickup.

Send spare clothes, and more than one set while accidents are frequent. It's the thing a room runs out of first.

Medication

The Medication tab next to Potty isn't where to arrange anything about medication. Speak to your center directly.

Still stuck?

Your center's director can see your family's account and can fix most things fastest. If the app itself is misbehaving, that one's ours.
